Springtime is creeping up on us!
Gaaaah! This is so exciting! Cue lots of running around taking photos of flowers and thinking about dates for barbecues.
So this is the first spring / summer when we will have both a juicer and a high power blender, and you may be seeing a lot of nice fresh juices and blender cocktails here in the coming months.
Just a warning.
Let’s start here, with a fresh juice that simply screams springtime. It’s sweet, refreshing and cleansing, with strawberries, apples and pear – and just a tiny kick of mint for extra refreshment.
It is exactly what you want in your hand when you’re exploring the new flower buds in your garden or the park.
If you don’t have a juicer, this could also be a smoothie (if you have a high power blender which can handle apples).
And if you’d like to make it a little more nutritious, there’s no reason not to throw in a carrot or some spinach. (Although the latter will obviously mess up the pinky orangey hue!)Print
- 4 red apples
- 3 pears
- 300–400g (10-14oz) of strawberries
- A few sprigs of fresh mint (about 30 leaves)
- Put all of the ingredients through a juicer according to your manufacturer’s instruction.
