Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored and cut into cubes
  • 2 tsps butter, cut into tiny cubes
  • ΒΌ tsp cinnamon
  • β…› tsp ginger
  • β…› tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp oat flour

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 160C / 320F.
  • Place the apples in a baking dish and sprinkle the spices and butter cubes on top.
  • Bake apples at for 40-50 minutes, until they easily collapse under the weight of a fork. About 10-15 minutes into the cooking time, remove the dish and give everything a mix with a spatula or wooden spoon to get the melted butter and spices more evenly distributed.
  • Remove from the oven and puree in a small blender with the oat flour.
  • Add water*, one spoonful at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.

Notes

* You can also use the baby's usual milk to thin this out. I choose water because a little water intake with solids helps avoid constipation (something that oats can make worse).
