A decadent vegan dessert! Chocolate mug cake with a melting chocolate hazelnut and strawberry center. So easy and so yummy!

Vegan Strawberry & Hazelnut Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp of plain flour
  • 2 Tbsp of caster sugar
  • 2 Tbsp of cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp of baking powder
  • tsp salt
  • ¼ cup + 1 Tbsp almond milk, I used unsweetened, but sweetened would be fine too
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1.5 Tbsp vegan chocolate and hazelnut spread
  • 2 strawberries, chopped into small pieces

Instructions 

  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.
  • Add almond milk, whisk through.
  • Add vegetable oil, whisk through.
  • Pour batter into mug.
  • Dollop a tablespoon of chocolate hazelnut spread on top of the batter. It will sink in a little.
  • Add your chopped strawberries on top of the chocolate hazelnut spread.
  • Dollop another half tablespoon on top of the strawberries.
  • Microwave for 1-2 minutes (lower if you have a high powered microwave, higher if you are making more than one at a time) or until the top of springy and dry.
