Mango & Peanut Butter Baby Food Puree

A safe and delicious way to introduce peanut butter to your baby! Sweet mango and banana are blended with peanut butter to create a silky smooth, sweet baby food puree that won't be too sticky for a young baby's first bite. Current guidelines are to introduce peanut butter before the age of 1, and this is the perfect way to make it one of your baby's first foods.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200 g) chopped mango
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 Tbsp natural peanut butter*
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) of coconut milk, and/or baby's usual milk**

Instructions

  • Blend the mango, banana and peanut butter until smooth.
  • Add coconut milk, or baby's usual milk, until you achieve the desired texture.

Notes

*Which peanut butter? Buy an all natural peanut butter with no sugar or salt. Especially important for under 1's.
**Which milk? You can use your baby's usual milk, some full fat cow's milk, or coconut milk in this recipe. Using breastmilk, cow's milk or formula will thin the puree out a little more and leave more of the peanut butter flavor. Coconut milk is thicker and adds extra sweetness and flavor.
